Who spiked the Evian? Lately, there’s been a rash of White women using the n-word – including self-professed liberals and progressives. As if that were not bad enough, they act shocked, defensive and even downright nasty when told by women of all races that they should cut that shit out.

I’d like to take this time simply to tell you, with all sincerity, that you are a horrible person and you should stop writing. Anything.

Our coalition cannot participate in an inquiry into the deaths of so many marginalized women when the inquiry lacks the essential participation of aboriginal groups, sex-worker groups, and front line women’s organizations,” West Coast LEAF and the Ending Violence Association of B.C.

Speak truth Jay speak truth.

jsmooth995:

Thinking again of how Gil’s passing affected me, as I look at the awful, awful news all around today. Half of my timeline is caught up in scolding other people for caring more about this story than that story, or caring more about that story than this story. It really seems like this grief-scolding/grief-shaming has itself become a kind of coping mechanism for a lot of us (myself included)..

You see, master mock-and-droller David Sedaris, who’s unequivocally one of the great essayists of our time and a personal favorite of mine, has chosen to take his parodic talent and point it at China, its people and its food. Except the piece he’s written for the U.K.’s Guardian newspaper is less amusing than it is venomous, xenophobic and dissipated.

Can I say it now? David Sedaris: I don’t get it (thanks to @soulsidescom for the link)

David Sedaris thinks Chinese people (and food) are repulsive, which makes me sad, because I used to like David Sedaris. - OriginalSpin
